Volleyball Team Inspired by Grad's Cancer Battle

During last year’s season, Milford High School’s volleyball team wanted to raise money to support a cause that was close to home. The team raised money through the Volley for a Cause event totaling more than $2,300 for the Walk Ahead for a Cure, supporting research and education at the UC Brain Tumor Center. It was Milford alumni, Kelli Woodstock's fight that inspired the team to raise money for the Brain Tumor Center.

Milford Schools Teacher Honored as “Hixson Teacher of the Year”

Lisa Holt-Taylor, a 3rd Grade Science and Social Studies Teacher at Boyd E. Smith Elementary, has been named as the Hixson Architecture, Engineering, Interiors “Teacher of the Year” for the 2015-2016 school year. The award was presented in October to Holt-Taylor at a ceremony honoring her and the other finalists at Hixson’s offices in Mt. Adams.
