read more …A message from Nancy House, Superintendent: Milford Families, I want to thank you for your patience and understanding this morning. The Miami Township Police Department alerted us at 6:00 a.m. that there was a suspect loose in the area of Boyd E. Smith Elementary School. We decided to delay all Milford District buildings two hours to ensure everyone’s safety. The timing of this could not have been worse as there were already some students at bus stops and some already on their way to school when we were notified by the police department. We immediately sent out a notification to delay school when the decision was made. Students who had already arrived at school this morning were kept at school and they were safe. Students on their way to school on buses arrived at school safely.
