Milford High School junior Grace Molett and senior Erika House headed out Saturday, July 15 for the 2017 Educational Pilgrimage for Youth. During their 11-day pilgrimage, Grace and Erika will be joining about 150 students from across the country. They will travel to Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Gettysburg. While in New York City, Grace and Erika will have the opportunity to tour the United Nations building and listen to behind-the-scenes briefings conducted by specialized United Nations agencies and departments. As part of the program, they will each present a speech at the U.N.

Thanks to Milford’s Laurel Lodge Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs for sponsoring their trip! High school students 16 or 17 years of age with a minimum of one year of high school remaining are eligible to apply for the annual pilgrimage. Applications are reviewed by the selection committee for evidence of leadership, character, concern for community welfare, and interest in world affairs.
