The Milford Board of Education has hired Mrs. Malinda McReynolds as the new Assistant Principal of Milford Junior High School effective August 1, 2016. She is replacing Sarah Sloan, who became principal of Mulberry Elementary.

Mrs. McReynolds, a Milford High School graduate, has more than 15 years of experience in education. This past school year, she was the Assistant Principal of Hartwell Elementary in Cincinnati Public Schools. Hartwell is a K-8 building with approximately 625 students. Prior to Hartwell, she was also a 21 century consultant and tutor with Cincinnati Public Schools.

In addition to graduating from Milford, Mrs. McReynolds began her teaching career as a middle school math and science teacher at Milford Main. She has also taught at the elementary level at both Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and The Seven Hills School.

“I am amazed at how some people go through a series of changes that lead back to an original position or situation in life. Even more so, I'm thrilled that I am one of those individuals as I return to the Milford Exempted Village School District as an assistant principal at the Junior High,” Mrs. McReynolds said. “As a former alum and Milford Main Middle School teacher, I am truly honored to return 'home' to where my amazing educational experiences all began!"

Mrs. McReynolds has her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Central State University and Masters of Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati. She has also completed the Educational Leadership Certification program from Xavier University and received the Farmer's Business School Mini MBA from Miami University.

“With her teaching and administrative experience, we are confident that Malinda will be an excellent addition to the junior high administrative team,” said Nancy House, Assistant Superintendent, Director of Human Resources.

Mrs. McReynolds is a resident of Milford. She has two sons Anthony and Christian Clark. She gives much credit to her parents, Robert and Dr. Barbara J. McMasters for several of her accomplishments.
