Dr. Farrell, Milford Superintendent, shared the State of the Schools at the Milford/Miami Township Chamber of Commerce annual “State of Miami Township, the City of Milford and Milford Schools” program held on March 21, at the Miami Township Civic Center. Presentations were made by Jeff Wright, Miami Township Administrator and Pam Holbrook, Milford’s Acting City Manager. A question and answer session followed the presentations.

“We serve 6,700 students and we love it. We are fortunate to be part of such a great community,” Dr. Farrell shared with the crowd of local community and business people.

Dr. Farrell gave an overview of the district’s academic programs and achievements as well as highlights of the district many services and programs.

Dr. Farrell also shared copies of the district’s Quality Profile, a publication offering a comprehensive look at our school program.

“Almost 70 school districts in Ohio are now using the Quality Profile template to share a more ‘complete’ picture of how we meet student needs. Milford students continue to excel at all external testing and other quantifiable measures of our students’ achievement, but opportunities for our students to reach their potential and be prepared for college and careers are not answered by just a test score.  I encourage our community to spend time reviewing the Quality Profile of our district,” Dr. Farrell said.

The district releases its annual Quality Profile in August. Click here to view the most recent Quality Profile.
